Catching Up

I was up until about 2 am catching up on all the shows my DVR recorded for me last week. I know I shouldn't have been up that late for many reasons but it's the only time I get to watch my shows in silence. The boys are in bed asleep and my husband usually doesn't ask me a million questions.

Feeling Lazy

It's Saturday and I've only moved off the couch to sit in the chair. And, to get more coffee, of course. It's supposed to rain all weekend (again) and I'm just not in the mood to do anything. This week has been very hectic and I just want to chill out and do nothing. Is that so wrong?

So, I lied

I posted a few days ago about moving the treadmill into the living room. Well, that didn't happen this weekend and probably won't happen until my husband is able to use his arm. It's not that I can't move it myself but, apparently, new cable needs to be run if we're going to have internet with the computer in the bedroom. I don't know the first thing about running cable and, even if I did, I'm not going under the house to run it! Sorry, but there are just some things I absolutely refuse to do.


On a Mission

My husband and I sat down this morning and talked turkey. Yes, I mean money. We usually don't talk about money because it's always been something that's strained our relationship. But, we bit the bullet and I'm so glad we did. We put together a budget using an Excel template (this template even calculates what we need per week) and realized that, if we follow the budget, we could save over $500 per month!

Yep, it's that time again. It's time for me get back in saddle! I've decided to rearrange the house a bit to bring the treadmill out into the living room. Bringing it out will allow me to walk, spend time with the guys, and watch television. I think that's part of my problem; after work I just want to chill out and watch t.v. If the treadmill is in the living room, I can walk and watch t.v. at the same time.

To Cry or Not to Cry

I have been such a cry baby this week! I think it's the amount of stress I'm under. My husband had surgery a week ago today and things have been rough around the house. He can't do anything with his right arm, which means that just about all of the housework is on my shoulders. I don't mind doing it but it's a lot for one person who works full time. 

Aches & Pains

Since today is Monday one would expect I would be at work but things didn't work out that way. I decided to take today off because I'm very nervous to leave my husband alone. He didn't sleep well last night because his arm was really bothering him. I'm sure it's all normal but I want to be sure. I'm headed back to work tomorrow, however.

Let Me Eat Cake!

Friday was my youngest son's birthday. He's 7 and so excited. He was counting down all week. With a birthday comes cake and ice cream and, in my house, that means two cakes. We have one the day of the birthday and one for the birthday party. I have to admit that I didn't do very well at all with the cake.

Waiting

I've never been good at waiting and today isn't any different. I'm sitting here in the waiting room, surrounded by some of the strangest looking people I've ever seen, waiting for surgery to be over.

Goals

After thinking about a few things today, I've decided to change a few things with regards to my goals. As you know, I use MyFitnessPal.com to track my weight loss, food, and exercise. I've decided that my goals were a little too broad and unrealistic at the present moment. Instead of setting my goal at 150 pounds, I've significantly decreased it to 250 pounds.

Coming Up

I had a wonderful long weekend with my boys but it's back to the grind tomorrow. This week is going to be very hectic and stressful. My husband has his surgery Thursday and our youngest son's birthday is Friday.

The Gift of Technology

I just downloaded Blogger for my phone! Now I have no reason for not posting. I'm in the middle of Wii but I had to post this. I'll write more later today.

A Slap in the Face

I weighed myself this morning and I liked to have fell off the damn scale! While I haven't been watching what I eat or exercising, I didn't expect to see what I saw. I gained 4.6 pounds! That shook me back to reality and woke up my brain, which has been lying dormant for a while with regards to weight loss apparently. I could have done what I usually do when I see weight gain and ran to the fridge for something to eat. But, I didn't do that.

Hard Candy Cosmetics

I was in Wal-Mart the other night after work picking up a few things. Because I'm a huge makeup fanatic, I had to cruise through the cosmetics section to see if they had anything good. I found a new display of Hard Candy cosmetics and I had to stop. After looking for a bit, I picked up 2 items - eyeliner and a concealer palette.

Hodge Podge

Since I haven't posted in a while, I entitled this post "Hodge Podge" because I have so much to talk about. And, I'm a big fan of Jeopardy! Anyway, this week has been like most weeks with a few exceptions. Work was busy due to the month ending. I had to leave early today because I wasn't feeling well so I'm sure my desk and email will be full when I return on Tuesday.
