Yep, I'm one of those people who eats when watching television, reading, or just sitting around the house. Instead of doing that now, I've decided to drink coffee. Coffee takes away my craving to eat junk but doesn't fill me up with a ton of empty calories. There are calories in coffee (mainly from my creamer) but I'll take those calories any day over the calories in potato chips or anything else that's not good for me.
I'm going to be experimenting a little with my coffee in the coming days in an effort to make it a healthier option. I use non-dairy creamer so that it doesn't cool off my coffee (I can't handle cold coffee before its time) but it has 10 calories per teaspoon (I use 3 tsp per cup so that's 30 calories). I found an article online about making a healthier version of non-dairy creamer but it didn't providing any nutritional information.
Anyway, I've watched a few other movies today and I haven't eaten anything. I usually brew 3 pots of coffee per day so that shouldn't change. Today's second pot just finished and I'm heading out to get a nice, hot cup.
