Rain, Rain, Come this Way

The weather here has been unseasonably warm, which means a lot of different things to me. For starters, the smell of manure is often prominent in the air. Fortunately, I haven't been outside much to smell it. Secondly, the warmer weather makes me want to go outside to enjoy the sunshine. And lastly, my allergies are in full force! I want to go outside but I almost can't go (I'd rather smell the manure than deal with allergies).

Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons because the air temperature is usually 60-75 degrees. However, this Spring has proven to be just a tad warmer. It's just about 5:30 pm and it's still 85 degrees outside. Today's high was projected to hit 91, which, if it did, would break the old record.

The dash of my car is green from pollen and my head feels like it's in a vice. Fortunately, we're supposed to get some rain this week. Be careful what you wish for! According to the local weather, it's supposed to rain Thursday through Sunday. I can already hear the groans but I'm not one of them. I welcome the rain because it's going to wash all of this stuff away! I'm tired of Claritin being my bestie!

I haven't let my allergies stop me from getting things done though. I started using Gold's Gym Cardio again yesterday and my arms were sore when I got up this morning. But, the only way to cure the soreness to get to do it all again. So, that's just what I did. I used it again this morning and I feel fantastic. My arms are still sore and it was difficult for me to do some of the movements, but I muddled through and got it done.

Oh, I got on the scale this morning because I just couldn't believe I was back where I started from. Imagine my surprise when the scale said I had lost 30 pounds! Yeah, well, I knew that wasn't right so I did it again and got a different number. Third time's the charm, right? The third number was the exact same as the second so I took it. If I remember correctly (I did't write it down or log it anywhere), it said I had lost a little over a pound. Not too shabby if I might say so.

That weigh in didn't count because I just started over. My next official weigh in will be next week, I think. I've been toying with the idea of weighing in twice a month instead of once a week. I'm going to have to think about that a little more because I like the gratification I get when I step on the scale and see a lower number. If I don't have that, I might not stick with my plan.

Okay, that's enough from me. My head is pounding because my bestie hasn't fully kicked in yet. I think I'm going to relax in a hot bath to see that will help make things better. Have a great evening!
