Hard Work Pays Off

I've really been focused since my visit to the doctor last week and it's paying off! I've been under my calorie goal every day since then and I've been working out for at least 20 minutes per day. I've even hit the 5,000 step mark with my FitBit twice and I didn't go play tennis!

When I got up this morning, my plan was to get my paper done and chill out. It's one of those great rainy days where you want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and a good book/movie. I can't read on days like this because everyone's home and loud.

Anyway, before I had breakfast, I decided to weigh myself. I'm glad I did because I lost 3.2 pounds! I was so excited! I wanted to get in a workout today but thought I would take today and chill out with the family. We had pancakes this morning for breakfast (mine were wheat). I compared the nutritional information on my wheat mix to the regular mix and the regular mix had fewer calories. I couldn't believe it! But, my pancakes were awesome and I used lite syrup. 

Tomorrow I'll get back into my workouts and I'm going to do at least 30 minutes per day this week. I'm having a BBQ Saturday so I'll be busy this week getting the house ready. I've got a list made of things that need to be done by Friday so I won't forget. I can't wait to get together with some of my most favorite people! I might have to double up on my workouts a few days this week because there's going to be awesome food and drinking. 

Okay, it's time for me to get ready for dinner. The roast has the house smelling delicious. I hope you've all had a great weekend!
