Looking outside right now, you'd never guess a storm of this magnitude is coming. I guess this is the calm before the storm. Maybe I'm a bit strange, but I'm looking forward to this weekend. I love storms but only if I still have power...lol. I'm really worried about not having any coffee. That can't be good for anyone!
I've had to come home from work today and get some homework done so I don't have to worry about doing any of it this weekend. That may not be possible. We're prepared with batteries, radio, canned goods, water (drinking and other things), and the generator. This is one of the worst storms to hit our area in about 100 years.
Honestly, I'm tired of hearing about it. It's all over the news and the radio. It's common sense to prepare yourself for any type of storm but I guess not many people have much common sense these days. So, that means those of us who do have common sense have to listen to the same drivel over and over again.
This has been one heck of a week, too! Earlier this week, we had an earthquake, which is totally unheard of around here. I was at work and we didn't know what the hell to do. This week was also the boys' first week back to school. Talk about exciting (can you hear my sarcasm?).
Okay, it's time for me to get going. There's a lot left to do yet and I want to wake up in the morning with no laundry staring back at me. If you're in Irene's path, be safe and keep your animals safe!
