This weekend is New Year's which means just about everyone will make resoluions they intend on keeping but never do. I've started early this time by working on my resolutions before 2012 gets here. I'm working on being a happier person. Over are the days where I let people get to me. No one is responsible for my mood other than me. Everyone else can KMA.
I' also working on being a stronger person in the sense that I'm not taking anyone's crap anymore. I'm sure some people are work aren't going to be too pleased with the new me but that's not my problem. I've taken so much crap from them in the 6 months I've been there and I'm just not doing it anymore. I'm not there to make friends (no, I'm not one of those people who doesn't have room for more friends; I just don't make that a top priority when the economy sucks as bad as i does right now). I'm there to do a job and earn a paycheck.
The last thing I'm working on it lowering my stress. That's going to be the hardest one yet! But, I think - no, I know, I can do it. I'm going to learn to relax more than I do. If that means I have to stop doing as much for others then so be it.
You'll notice that my resolutions don't include any thing weight loss related. I purposely did that for 2 reasons: 1. I never follow through with weight loss resolutions and 2. When the above are accomplished, the weight will be much easier to tackle. That's the plan anyway.
The trick to resolutions is to make them realistic. Don't set your resolution to be to lose 100 pounds because it won't happen. Life happens and that's a guarantee. What are your resolutions for 2012?
