Already Off Course

Today is day 1 and I've already screwed up. We wasted about 3 hours this morning out of the house and, by the time we got back, everyone was starving! I wound up eating 3 Hershey's with Almonds candy bars, 2 tuna fish sandwiches, Wheat Thins, and a whole tomato. OMG! I was so pissed!
After I ate all that crap, I fell asleep. Totally weird behavior for me because the only time I ever take a nap is when I'm sick. I feel great, other than my stupidity with my food, so it was out of character for me to take a nap this afternoon.

When I woke up, we all went for a short bike ride. I could really tell how out of shape I am. We didn't ride far but my legs hurt like nobody's business. I felt so bad because the boys wanted to ride longer but I just couldn't do it. I told them that we'd ride a little each day in hopes of making them feel a little better. I wasn't very successful. 

One 2 good notes - 1) I found a great new tool on MyFitnessPal's mobile app and 2) I'm having flounder, rice, and salad for dinner tonight. The new tool on the mobile app is a bar code scanner. I can just scan the bar code of the food I'm eating and I don't have to manually enter it each time. Talk about a time saver. I am so in love with it! 

My fish is smelling delicious and I can't wait to eat it. The boys are excited about eating it, too. I'm so fortunate to have children who love fish, fruits, and vegetables. I never have to fight with them to eat what's good for them. Not many parents can say that. 

Time for me to get going on the rest of dinner. We're eating so late tonight because it was so late when we ate lunch. At least I'm not eating anything heavy, like red meat, before settling down for the night.
